Rep counting runs entirely on your device via TensorFlow.js — your camera feed and body-tracking data are never uploaded to our servers. If you record and share a clip, it goes straight from your phone to the app you pick; we never receive it. Photo meal logging is the one opt-in exception: that photo is sent to our AI provider to estimate nutrition and is not stored. QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

Is my camera footage uploaded or recorded?

No. Pose detection runs entirely on your phone, in your browser. Camera frames are analyzed in real time and immediately discarded — nothing is recorded, nothing is uploaded, and we never see them.

How does the rep counting actually work?

GoodReps tracks a 17-point skeleton over your body and measures your joint angles live. A rep only counts when you move through the full range of motion — half reps don't fool it — and the same angles power real-time form feedback.

What equipment do I need?

Just your phone. Every exercise works with bodyweight, and if you train with dumbbells or a barbell you can log weights and track PRs. No wearables, no sensors, no subscriptions to hardware.

What if it miscounts, or my room is dark?

Run the built-in camera test — it checks your lighting, distance, and angle with live green checks before you start. The counter also calibrates to your personal range of motion after a few reps, and manual counting is always one tap away.

Do I have to use the camera?

No. The camera is the headline act, but everything works without it — tap SET DONE to log any set by hand, or turn on Manual Mode in Workout Settings and the live screen becomes a clean manual logger. Programs, records, streaks, and XP count exactly the same either way.

Is GoodReps really free?

Yes — the core app is free forever: camera rep counting for all 60 exercises, the workout builder, food logging, breath training, and steps. Pro adds voice coaching, pre-built programs, saved routines, and an unlimited GoodReps Coach for $7/mo, $49/yr, or $99 lifetime.

Which devices does it work on?

Any modern phone, tablet, or laptop with a camera — GoodReps runs in the browser and installs as an app, offline included. There's a native Android app, and iOS is on the way.

Does it track yoga too?

Yes. GoodReps verifies the 10 most common yoga poses with your camera — the hold timer only runs while your joints confirm you're actually in the pose. Tap the Yoga quick-start for a guided 10-pose flow.

I'm a beginner — will it teach me the exercises?

Every exercise ships with an animated form diagram, step-by-step instructions, a camera setup line, and a form cue. Start with the Beginner program — three short full-body sessions a week — and the coach can answer form questions any time.

Can I export or delete my data?

Always. Export your full workout log to CSV in one tap, and delete your account (and everything with it) any time. Sign-in is optional — skip it and everything stays local on your device.
